Chargie struggles about doctors, the ER, rare diseases and more

There are some things that only people with chronic illness and invisible illness understand. There situations are familiar for all of us. How do you know you are a Chargie? When these all resonate with you, you are a Chargie!
People with a rare disease are called Zebra's. It comes from an old saying they used to teach doctors in medical school. "When you hear hoof beats, think horses, not zebras." It means to look for the more common causes , do go looking for the rare diagnosis. In our community we have many zebra's. So many in fact that we made a whole line of products just for that.
When you have to fill out previous procedures, medication or just your medical history and they give you 3 lines.....
How many times I have had a doctor come back with test result and tell me happily, the test came back negative :D! When you are searching for what is wrong with you those words are hard to hear. They also made me sad, because it meant that the search for what was wrong wasn't over yet.
For all the undiagnosed people going through this we have made a special Chargimal, our very own chronic illness monster, Misdiagnosaur. For all those times they thought they knew what was wrong with you, but really didn't.
Just take an aspirin and you'll be fine. If I had a penny for every time a doctor told me that.
Here at The Unchargeables we understand what you are going through, we are here to support you through it all. You are not alone.
Whether you have a diagnosis like Heather, who has Chiari Malformation and is wearing the Chiari Chargimal Shirt, or are still undiagnosed or misdiagnosed like Dustin, you all belong with us. You are all Chargies.
